“Insidious: Chapter 3” Review

Hello! Today i am going to be reviewing Insidious: Chapter 3. This is the third installment of the Insidious movie series. This film follows Quinn, she thinks that her deceased mother is trying to contact her. Or is it someone else?

This is definitely one of my favorite horror movies.

The scene where the demon/man threw Quinn out of her bed and was walking around her room is literally terrifying. One of the scariest things iv ever seen.

Overall, i rate this movie a 4.1/5 stars.

“We Are Still Here” Review

Hello! Today i am going to be reviewing We Are Still Here. This movie follows a couple that moves into an old house after their son dies in a car accident. The house they move into is a house that wakes up every thirty years demanding a sacrifice.

Actors are good.

Complex and somewhat more thought provoking than most horror movies, which is good.

I still don’t completely understand why the dead family wants a family, but then kills them. Also i don’t understand at all why the new family stays at that house. Yes, their sons voice is there. It could be a trick from the dead family, he most likely isn’t even there. And most importantly, he is dead. Why would they live in a house where their best friends were killed and the entire town hates them, just so they can hear their sons voice? Their sons voice, from the dead. Honestly.

Good.

Overall, i rate this movie a 3/5 stars.

“Coraline” Review

Hello! Today i am going to be reviewing Coraline. This movie follows Coraline and her adventures in the world behind the mysterious door in her house. It is based off the book by the same name.

This might possibly be my favorite movie of all time.

I love the story, characters, animation, and music. Everything is great.

I  wish Coraline would be more appreciative of her parents though.

The long faced ghost has always horrified me. It literally might be the scariest thing i have ever seen.

Overall, i rate this movie a 5/5 stars.

“Gifted” Review

Hello! Today i am going to be reviewing Gifted. This movie follows Mary and her uncle as they exist.

I hate Bonnie, Mary’s teacher. I knew from the first scene she was in that i hated her. She is horrible. I don’t even know why exactly. Shes just bad.

My favorite character is Fred.

I strongly dislike the music chosen.

This movie could be worse, but could be a lot better. It is very average.

I like the “get a hold of yourself” line when Mary is in class.

Overall, i rate this movie a 2/5 stars.

“Diary of a Wimpy Kid: The Long Haul”

Hello! Today i am going to be reviewing Diary of a Wimpy Kid: The Long Haul. This is the fourth movie in the Diary of a Wimpy Kid movie series based off of the books by the same name.

Warning- This review does not include extreme spoilers and I try not to include any,but if you hate being told anything about the movie besides the plot, I recommend to stop reading. If not, enjoy!

This movie will never compare to the other three, and i knew this going into it. They have different actors in this film than the others, which automatically makes it bad. Why would you even make another movie?

This movie had way to much chaos. I know this is how to movie wanted to go, but it was still a bit too much. Every other scene was a car crash or someone chasing the family and whatnot.

This really didn’t stay in tune with the book. The only things i saw that were similar were the road trip idea and the pig.

They made Rodrick like a whole different character. He still had his band and his drumming, but hes extremely more dumb. But at some points this was actually quite funny. I think this actor did okay with the job.

I loved the Pyscho reference.

While they are DEFINITELY not the same, this actor and the old actor for Greg look extremely similar. Good job on that.

Although this is still a Wimpy Kid movie, it just didn’t seem like one.

Overall, i rate this movie a 3/5 stars.

“The Social Network” Review

Hello! Today i am going to be reviewing The Social Network. This movie follows young Matt Zuckerberg and how he created Facebook.

What i think is funny is that Mark wasn’t the best human alive. He did a lot of not nice things and was pretty horrible at some points. I think this is very interesting, and honestly it does make sense. I hardy think it’s likely that you can create this website and become the youngest billionaire in the world by being nice to everyone.

I really liked the characters (characters? They are real people. I don’t know.) Mark and Eduardo.

I thought at the end they were going to say that Mark and Erica got together and married. But i am so glad they didn’t, but it would be really funny if they did. They literally hated each other.

Overall, i rate this movie a 4.2/5 stars.

“Jeremy Fink and the Meaning of Life” Review

Hello! Today i am going to be reviewing Jeremy Fink and the Meaning of Life. This is a book to movie adaptation that follows Jeremy and his best friend Lizzy who are on the search for the meaning of life.

I first saw this movie quite a while ago, and ever since then it has been one of my favorite movies ever.

Now that i have watched it again, i noticed that its quite cringey. The acting is not fantastic and some of the lines are just really out there. But i still love this movie of course.

I really enjoy the animation at the beginning and throughout the film.

I also like the music chosen.

Overall, i rate this movie a 4.7/5 stars.

“Memento” Review

Hello! Today i am going to be reviewing Memento. This movie follows Leonard, a man who suffers from Anterograde amnesia. He is also trying to track down and kill the murderer of his wife.

I have never heard of this condition before so it was interesting to see a film about it.

My favorite character was Teddy.

I have never seen a movie like this before. It is told from the end and works its way backwards. Although it was hard to follow at some points, it was very cool.

I did predict the ending half way through the movie, but it was still good nevertheless.

Overall, i rate this movie a 4/5 stars.

“Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 2” Review

Hello! Today i am going to be reviewing Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 2. This is the 8th and final installment of the Harry Potter movie series based off of the books by the same name.

Warning- This review does not include extreme spoilers and I try not to include any,but if you hate being told anything about the movie besides the plot, I recommend to stop reading. If not, enjoy!

Something i noticed was that Voldemort could feel when each of his Horcruxes were being destroyed. In the books it made a clear point that he COULDN’T feel them. This just didn’t make much sense.

The scene where Harry and Voldemort fell off the building made no sense. I seriously just don’t understand.

I am so glad that Neville finally got his glory. Neville has been one of my favorite characters since the first book.

This movie was overall very good, but very sad. I cannot believe that it is over.

And the epilogue is ugh. Like i said in my book review for the Deathly Hallows, i don’t like the relationships chosen for the ending.

And Draco. 😦 Although i dislike Draco very strongly, i just can’t help feel bad for him. He is being forced to be a supporter of Voldemort and become evil. And when Voldemort hugs him! Horrifying honestly.

After now seeing every Harry Potter movie, i can now finally choose my favorite one of all. And that is: Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 1. I believe that this was the most enjoyable and most true to the books of any of the movies.

Overall, i rate this movie a 3.7/5 stars.

“Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 1” Review

Hello! Today i am going to be reviewing Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 1. This is the 7/8 of the movie series. They are based after the books by the same name.

Warning- This review does not include extreme spoilers and I try not to include any,but if you hate being told anything about the movie besides the plot, I recommend to stop reading. If not, enjoy!

This was the first one of the Harry Potter movies that i fully enjoyed. The other ones are fine, but honestly they are nothing in compared to the books. This one had much more detail and stayed much truer to the book than the other movies have done. It was just very well done over all.

Like all book to movie adaptations, there are changes made. But this is the first Harry Potter movie i feel that it actually worked.

When i’m reading the books i imagine Voldemort as scary of course, but seeing him in the movies is just like woah. He is horrifying.

I LOVED the animation scene of when Hermione was reading The Tale of the Three Brothers. This was so cool and reminded me a lot of the movie Coraline, which is one of my favorite movies of all time.

I loved the dancing scene between Harry+Hermione.

Overall, i rate this movie a 4.4/5 stars.
