“The Art Of Getting By” Review

Hello! Today i am going to be reviewing The Art Of Getting By. This movie follows George, a senior in high school who is in danger of being expelled.

I found and watched this movie because of the main actor, Freddie Highmore. Freddie is the star in the show Bates Motel and is might possibly be my favorite actor ever.

Even though Freddie is fantastic, sadly i found that he was the only reason this movie was capable of being watched. The movie is horribly uneventful and boring. There was no climax, no rising action, no nothing.

I have seen Emma Roberts in a few things, and i do quite like her. She just wasn’t up to snuff in this movie.

At some points this movie was also very something. Cliche? I don’t know. Things like, “I have been in love with you, i always have been.” It was very just like uuguggughugh.

I did not see very much of a connection between George and Sally. I wish their relationship was shown more instead of just like “woop hello there i am male u r female fantastic i’m in love with u.”

I really wished i liked this because of Freddie, but i just didn’t. At all. I’m sorry but its really bad.

Overall, i rate this movie a 1.7/5 stars.

“Smurfs: The Lost Village” Review

Hello! Today i am going to be reviewing Smurfs: The Lost Village. This is the third movie in the current running Smurfs series.

Warning- This review does not include extreme spoilers and I try not to include any,but if you hate being told anything about the movie besides the plot, I recommend to stop reading. If not, enjoy!

This movie was fine. I guess. I fell asleep for a small bit of it. It seemed to go on a long time, but i do not know. Quite predictable.

I really wish Smurfette had died at the end. I don’t think its a great lesson to teach that when someone dies you just hold hands with your friends and they come back to life.

I strongly disliked the music chosen for this movie. This most likely comes from my hate of music, especially current pop music. I just couldn’t stand it.

The animation was great of course, since most modern day animation is amazing.

My favorite smurf was Nosy Smurf.

Overall, i rate this movie a 1.7/5 stars.

“Charlottes Web” Review

Hello! Today i am going to be reviewing Charlottes Web. This is the 2006 adaptation of the book by the same name.

Warning- This review does not include extreme spoilers and I try not to include any,but if you hate being told anything about the movie besides the plot, I recommend to stop reading. If not, enjoy!

I read the book and watched the movie within 2 days of each other. I am glad i did this so i could compare them. There were a lot of lines taken directly from the book and put i the movie word for word.  I liked this.

Since it was a relatively short book, pretty much all of the plot and details fit into the movie. They were very very similar and not many book to movie adaptations are like this.

The whole crow thing was not in the book. It was somewhat enjoyable.

It was a pretty average movie. Good, but not fantastic. The book was better. But the movie is still fine.

Overall, i rate this movie a 3.5/5 stars.

“Wayside School” Review

“The Girl In The Book” Review

“Insurgent” Review

Honestly i couldn’t watch this. Somehow i made my way through Divergent but this one i just couldn’t. Bad.

“Beauty and the Beast” (Live-Action) Review

Hello! Today i am going to be reviewing  Beauty and the Beast. This is the 2017 live-action version from Disney.

Warning- This review does not include extreme spoilers and I try not to include any,but if you hate being told anything about the movie besides the plot, I recommend to stop reading. If not, enjoy!

I watched the original the night before i saw this and i was very glad i did. It was nice to be able to compare them.

Emma Watson did a great job as Belle. I love all of the other casting as well.

Auto-tuning on Belle was eh.

Like i said in the review of the original, my favorite songs are “A Tale as Old as Time,” “Be Our Guest,” Belle (Reprise),” and “Gaston.”

I love the talking furniture so much. I think my favorite is the candlestick, but i’m not sure.

I like having the backstory of Belle’s mom, but at the same time it seemed pretty useless.

A lot of the scenes i think were to stretched out. They made the movie much longer than it should have been. They also added quite a few of unnecessary scenes. Some of the scenes were also maybe overdone.

I love the dancing scene.

I love all of Belle’s outfits. I think my favorite was the white dress with the flowers on it which she wore in the ending scene.

I like how Agatha was involved in this version of the movie. What i did not understand was how the Beast came back to life. In the original it was timed differently so he had not officially died yet. I don’t know. I guess just magic?

The! Visuals! Are! So! Great!

Overall, i rate this movie a 4.7/5 stars.

“Beauty and the Beast” Review

Hello! Today i am going to be reviewing Beauty and the Beast. This is the 1991 animated version from Disney.

I have seen this movie once before, but i had remembered nothing about it. This is the first one of the princess movies i have ever seen.

Just a few questions, why does Belle like the beast after he kidnapped her? And, why is Chip the only cup that comes out of the cupboard?

My favorite songs are “A Tale as Old as Time,” “Be Our Guest,” Belle (Reprise),” and “Gaston.”

I do not have much else to say. I love the animation, music, story, and pretty much everything.

Overall, i rate this movie a 5/5 stars.
